Description

FARMACTIVE PU FOAM is a sterile dressing with an adhesive border, made of an absorbent hydrophilic polyurethane foam applied to a polyurethane membrane. This structure ensures high absorbency while being impermeable to liquids but permeable to gases, for optimal exudate management and effective wound protection.

Indications

This dressing is particularly indicated for the treatment of wounds with moderate to heavy exudate, such as:

• Pressure ulcers


• Lower limb ulcers


• Deep and partial-thickness wounds


• Skin graft sites

Contraindications

Do not use the dressing in case of:

• Third-degree burns


• Dry wounds


• Infected wounds

Precautions

• 
  The dressing may adhere if applied to wounds with little exudate; in this case, it is recommended to moisten the area with sterile saline solution.
  


• Do not apply to heavily bleeding wounds.

Instructions for Use

1. 
   Clean the wound with an appropriate sterile solution and allow the surrounding skin to dry.
   


2. 
   If necessary, cut the dressing according to the size of the wound.
   


3. 
   Secure the dressing in place with tape and apply light pressure for better adhesion.
   

Storage

It is recommended to store the product at a temperature not exceeding 40°C.
