Main Features of Askina® DresSil

• 
  Layer in contact with the wound: Made of medical silicone, it features a special architecture of holes that facilitates the passage of exudate to the subsequent layer of polyurethane foam.

  Intermediate layer: Made of hydrophilic polyurethane foam, it ensures high vertical absorption of exudate, maintaining the moist environment and preventing maceration.
  


• 
  Outer layer: Liquid and bacteria impermeable polyurethane film, but gas permeable, promoting tissue transpiration and maintaining ideal conditions for healing.
  

Indications for Use

Askina® DresSil is particularly indicated for the treatment of:

• Pressure ulcers


• Venous and arterial ulcers of the lower limbs


• Diabetic foot ulcers


• First and second degree burns

How to Use

For a correct application of Askina® DresSil, follow these simple steps:

1. 
   Clean the wound with an appropriate solution (e.g., Prontosan® solution) following normal procedures.
   


2. Carefully dry the perilesional skin.


3. 
   Select a dressing of adequate size to completely cover the surface of the wound, ensuring that 2 to 3 cm of dressing remains beyond the edges of the wound.
   


4. 
   Remove the protective sheet and apply the adhesive side (silicone) to the wound.
   


5. Gently adhere the dressing to the wound.


6. 
   If necessary, secure Askina® DresSil with a secondary dressing for greater stability.
   


7. 
   During removal, lift one edge of the dressing and remove it slowly to avoid trauma to the skin.
