Product Description:

The Economy Hood Mod. 901/B is a benchtop chemical hood equipped with molecular filtration with an activated carbon filter. This device is designed to protect personnel and the environment during the handling of organic and inorganic substances that produce toxic or unpleasant odors. The activated carbon filter traps harmful molecules, ensuring a safer working environment. However, it is important to note that it does not protect the handled product from external contamination.

Applications:

The fume hood can be used in situations where it is not necessary to protect the product from the air in the laboratory, such as:

• Opening biological samples for analysis

Filtration:

• 
  Activated Carbon Filter (Type A): Absorbs aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, solvents, organic vapors, ketones, alcohols, organic acids, esters, halogens, unpleasant odors, sulfur compounds.

  Special Filters (Type B): Available for specific substances such as ammonia, aldehydes and derivatives, acid gases, iodine, and mercury.
