Bowie & Dick test pack for steam autoclave

Disposable Bowie & Dick test pack designed to verify the efficiency of the air removal system and the correct penetration of steam in vacuum autoclaves. The test allows you to check the proper functioning of the saturated steam sterilization cycle.

Instructions for use

• 
  The Bowie & Dick test pack must be used in the same way as the standard pack provided for the Bowie & Dick test (EN 285).
  


• 
  Before performing the test, verify that the autoclave has been emptied and cooled to 134°C with an empty chamber.
  


• 
  Place the test pack inside the sterilization chamber following the manufacturer's instructions.
  


• 
  During the test, place the pack near the condensate drain outlet, avoiding contact with the chamber walls.
  


• Perform the test at 134°C for 3.5 minutes.


• 
  At the end of the cycle, remove the pack from the autoclave, check the color change of the indicator sheet (from light blue to black) and remove the contained indicator sheet.
