Description:
It is a useful medical device
for keeping the joint in the correct position after surgery,
replacing traditional casting.
It has a double-lined panel structure
in medium-density foam rubber, with articulated stays, assisted by valves in flexible
plastic material, with great containment capacity.
Thanks to these characteristics
it guarantees joint stability comparable to that of a cast.
The flexion-extension
movement is easily adjustable by means of the precision mechanical system
of the joints.
The closure system is characterized by Velcro straps,
designed to keep the brace in the most correct position.
A
large opening allows the surgical area to be padded or cleaned
and facilitates healing.
Easy to remove and put back on, it also allows
beneficial daily personal hygiene.

Indications:

Post-operative treatment of knee ligament reconstructions, total prostheses, femur and tibia fractures at the knee, in varus or valgus osteotomies
- Indicated in the post-traumatic phase of knee sprains where immobilization in semiflexion is required

PRECAUTIONS
FOR USE:
It is recommended that the pressures exerted by the device
do not act on parts of the body that have wounds, swelling or tumefaction.
In
case of doubt about the application method, contact an orthopedic technician.
It is
advisable not to wear the device near open flames or strong
electromagnetic fields.

ADVICE
FOR THE PATIENT

To facilitate washing of the immobilized limb
without removing the brace, it is recommended to:
- Open the upper part (straps
and padding) and wash the thigh;
- Close the upper part again;

Open the lower part (straps and padding) and wash the leg;
- Close
the lower part;
- Tighten the straps to prevent vertical migration
of the brace.

To wash the limb, use a damp sponge.
