EASY RID

Description
EASY RID are 12-well plates for the quantitative determination by radial immunodiffusion of human plasma proteins, in serum and plasma. Produced by Liofilchem S.r.l., it is available in 17 configurations for the analysis of different plasma proteins.

Main characteristics

• 
  Method: Simple radial immunodiffusion, with antigen-antibody reaction incorporated in agarose gel.
  


• 
  Composition: Monospecific antiserum produced by immunizing rabbits or goats.
  


• 
  Compatible samples: Plasma (for fibrinogen and antithrombin III) and serum (for all other proteins). Fresh samples or samples stored at 2-8 °C.

Procedure for use

1. 
   Open the package and leave the plate at room temperature for 5 minutes.
   


2. 
   Add 5 µl of the sample (diluted or undiluted depending on the protein to be analyzed).
   


3. 
   Close the lid, allow the sample to absorb for 20 minutes, and invert the plate.
   


4. 
   Place the plate in the pouch and leave it at room temperature for 48 hours.
   


5. 
   Measure the diameter of the halos with precision instruments to determine protein concentration.
   

Storage
Store between 2-8 °C. Avoid exposure to heat sources or temperature variations. The plate can be reused within 3 weeks of opening if stored correctly. Do not freeze.

Safety and disposal
Contains sodium azide (<1 g/L), classified as non-hazardous according to current legislation. Dispose of in accordance with regulations for potentially infectious materials.
