Oxidase Test Stick – Rapid Test for Cytochrome Oxidase

Rapid test for the detection of cytochrome oxidase enzymatic activity, useful for microbial differentiation and identification, particularly of Gram-negative bacteria.

Intended use

The test is designed to support microbiological diagnosis, allowing the differentiation of bacterial colonies based on the presence of the enzyme cytochrome oxidase. It is particularly indicated for the identification of Gram-negative bacteria such as Neisseria and Pseudomonas, while Enterobacteriaceae are oxidase-negative (with the exception of Plesiomonas, the only oxidase-positive genus in the family).
