The rapid HCV cassette test is an immunochromatographic device for the qualitative detection of antibodies against the Hepatitis C virus (anti-HCV) in whole blood, serum, or plasma samples.

The test is designed to provide a rapid and reliable result, supporting screening activities in healthcare and laboratory settings.

The Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) is an RNA virus responsible for most parenterally transmitted non-A, non-B hepatitis cases. Anti-HCV antibodies are present in over 80% of patients with documented infection. Modern serological tests use multiple recombinant antigens to improve diagnostic sensitivity and specificity.

The device uses HCV recombinant proteins and colloidal gold conjugate for the selective identification of anti-HCV antibodies.
