AMIES
Swabs with 1 mL of liquid Amies transport medium, suitable for the collection and transport of aerobic, anaerobic and fastidious bacteria for up to 48 hours at room temperature or refrigerated (up to 24 hours for Neisseria gonorrhoeae).
They can also be used with mycobacteria and fungi. The tubes are equipped with a pink screw cap and pre-labeled for correct sample identification.


TRANSPORT SWABS WITH LIQUID MEDIUM

Medical devices consisting of a swab (available in different materials and formats) and a tube containing liquid transport medium. These devices are suitable for the collection and transport of aerobic, anaerobic and fastidious bacteria. The viability of microorganisms is guaranteed for up to 48 hours at room temperature or refrigerated.
This particular range of devices is based on a ready-to-use liquid transport medium, suitable for bacterial cultures, rapid and multiple tests, Gram stains, automation and molecular tests.

The kit design is intended to make these swabs easy to use and reliable.
The applicators are equipped with a breakpoint thanks to which, after the biological sample has been collected, they can be inserted into the tube and captured by a special leak-proof screw cap.
They are produced in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), certified as sterile, non-pyrogenic, non-cytotoxic Class IIa Medical Devices and, upon request, certified according to the CLSI M40-A2 standard (Quality Control of Microbiological Transport Systems, 2nd Edition).
The devices are packaged in plastic peel-packs that preserve their sterility (SAL 10-6).
